A toy needs
a file behind it.

Placing a toy on the UK market requires a documented safety assessment, a technical file, a declaration of conformity and UKCA marking. Where we make it, that duty is ours — not something a supplier's word discharges.

What we do

Four strands, one safety file

Where we manufacture, the conformity duty is ours; where we retail, we check the paperwork is actually there.

How it works

How we work

Assess and document before production, state the actual hazard behind an age exclusion, check third-party products carry their marking, and mark everything so a batch can be traced.

Ask us anything

Materials, age marking, or what documentation exists.

Assessed and documented

Safety assessment and technical file before sale.

Marked and warned

UKCA, traceability, and the hazard stated.

Traceable afterwards

Records kept so a recall could actually work.

A new company, pointing at its paperwork

HRONIN LTD is a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 16138184, based at Arragon Road in London and formed in December 2024. Its registered activities are the manufacture of other plastic products, the retail sale of games and toys in specialised stores, retail sale by mail order or via the internet, and security dealing on own account. Being this new, the company claims no trading history it does not have.

For anything intended for children, the safety file is the substance rather than the formality. A toy placed on the Great Britain market needs a documented safety assessment covering chemical, mechanical, flammability and other hazards, technical documentation, a declaration of conformity and UKCA marking — and where we manufacture or import, those duties are ours and are not discharged by a supplier's assurance. Where we retail someone else's product we perform a distributor's duties, which includes declining stock that arrives without its marking or warnings. An age exclusion states the hazard behind it rather than just a number, small parts are tested, button cells sit behind a secured compartment, and everything carries a batch mark so a recall could actually reach people. Separately: our registered securities activity is dealing on our own account only, and we give no investment advice to anyone.

Frequently asked

The questions we get most

What does UKCA marking on a toy actually mean?

That the manufacturer has carried out a safety assessment covering the hazards the toy presents, compiled technical documentation, drawn up a declaration of conformity and is claiming the toy meets the essential safety requirements. It is a claim with a file behind it rather than a sticker. Where we manufacture, that file is ours and we hold it; where we retail, we check it exists before listing anything.

Why do you state the reason for the under-three warning?

Because the regulations require the specific hazard to be given, and because an age number alone gets read as a developmental recommendation rather than a safety warning. If the reason is small parts and a choking risk, saying so changes how a parent treats the toy around a younger sibling. A bare "3+" tells them nothing useful.

We found this toy much cheaper from a wholesaler. Why do you not stock it?

Often because it arrived without the marking, warnings or documentation it should have, and a distributor must not supply a product it has reason to believe does not conform. Unmarked stock is cheap for a reason. Listing it would transfer the problem to us and the risk to a child, so we decline it rather than pass it on.

Are the batteries safe?

Where a product contains button or coin cells, the compartment is secured so that a tool is needed to open it. Ingestion of those cells causes serious internal injury very quickly, and an accessible compartment in a children's product is one of the clearest safety failures there is. If you ever find one that opens easily, stop using it.

If something is recalled, how would you reach me?

Through the records we keep. Products carry our name and address plus a batch or type number, and we record who supplied us and who we supplied. Traceability only matters on a bad day, which is why it has to be built in on all the ordinary ones. If we have reason to believe something does not conform, we take corrective action and notify the authority.

Your filings mention security dealing. Do you offer investments?

No. That registered activity is dealing on the company's own account only. We do not deal, arrange deals or advise on investments for any other person, we do not manage anyone else's money, we hold no FCA authorisation and nothing on this site is an inducement to invest. We mention it because it appears on the public record and we would rather explain it than leave it ambiguous.
